Eggnog

8 egg yolks
8 tablespoons sugar
3 cups milk
2 cups half and half
nutmeg
2-4 ounces rum or cognac, optional

Pour egg yolks, sugar, milk and half and half into a blender cup. Blend on high speed until ingredients are well combined and frothy, about 45 seconds. Pour into a punch bowl or individual cups and serve immediately. Garnish with nutmeg, if desired.
